Where is Brexit leading?

Companies press Brexit panic button

Dyson’s decision to move his HQ out of the UK came on a day in which a series of high-profile names revealed measures to mitigate the impact of a disorderly departure from the EU:
  • P&O announced that its entire fleet of cross-Channel ferries will be re-registered under the Cypriot flag, as the 182-year-old British maritime operator activated its Brexit plans.
  • Sony confirmed it is moving its European headquarters from London to Amsterdam.
  • The chief executive of luxury carmaker Bentley said the company was stockpiling parts and described Brexit as a “killer” threatening his firm’s profitability.
  • Retailers Dixons Carphone and Pets at Home announced plans to shore up supplies in the event of chaos at British ports.
Thanks to May policy, thanks to Corbyn dithering and lack of leadership,  thanks to MPs caring more for their self interest than national interest and protecting the interest of citizens, it is clear that Britain is on the brink of a sad development.  Not to talk about the human distress for millions of UN citizens living in the UK and British people living in EU countries.

I do not understand, a third say less likely to vote for Labour if they back a second vote. A third are more likely to vote. A third are unaffected. So Labour is driven by not losing a third while gaining a third??? Nobody talks about doing the right things anymore, it is just votes and polls, this is not leadership, it is close to being populism.

But why did all of this happen?

Intolerance and discrimination are anchored in societies and difficult to change. That might explain why Brexit, presented as an action against EU citizens rights in the UK triggered an emotional vote for Brexit by many.

And this is not a British problem, the rise of extreme right wing parties around the world is a clear indication that intolerance is winning
